Cutting a deal with the FBI to act against the Mob, Angelo's old boss catches wind of his betrayal and is eventually roped into a Japanese program named Musashi Labs, better known as Project Rising Spirit, who specializes in experimental weaponry.
Created by Kevin VanHook, Bob Layton, and Don Perlin, he was initially a mobster making his way through the ranks until he's framed for the murder of a rival gangster due to him being disloyal to the boss's daughter. Bloodshot's mythos has had a culmination of many writers and artist since his inception, but his introduction came as a cameo in 1992's Eternal Warrior #4, before making his full appearance in Rai #0.
